Mandate of the Division:

 

1.To carry out detailed entomological studies on the presence, distribution, population dynamics of the Kala-azar vector, dynamics of transmission and vector control measures thereof. 2. To undertake detailed parasitological surveys to assess the magnitude of problem in the various affected districts. 3. To recommend suitable drug therapy and vector control strategy. 4. To develop trained manpower for the effective surveillance and control Kala-Azar.
